Update 0.8.0 - Asset polish and new boss animation !


Update 0.8.0 is now live !

Most of changes brought by this update are listed here. This update is mostly some polish and doesn't bring a lot of new features, but I wanted the base level to look more profressional before going further and adding new features. This took a lot of work nonetheless.
If you want to push this game as far as possible and have early access, consider supporting me ! 🩷

New content :

- Added Leo as new Boss character 🐲
Only the first ending is available for now (no interactive screen).

General improvement and polish  :

  • Parallax added on backgrounds 
  •  Background artwork heavily improved 
  • Portal sprite reworked and animation added
  • Reworked forest edge sprite
  • Added some blur and smooth to the camera scrolling during the cutscene
  • Cheese boy now spawns closer to the dragon after the cutscene
  • Added stomach bar growth feedback (should help people to understand that the boss still needs to be fed after the belly stage 4)
  • Golems are now disabled upon victory
  • Cheese boy animation sprites reworked
  • Cheese boy attack got replaced by a flying fist
  • Sprite of cake shop got reworked
  • There is now a limit to the maximum number of golems that spawn
  • Level select added to main menu
