     Brewing cat is a short puzzle game where you help Mina, a novice alchemist, to craft the correct potions in time and sell them to local clients. Beware of the side effects, although they might be useful !

🔞CONTENT WARNING : This is a fetish game for adults. If this isn't your thing, you should reconsider playing !

🔴 Gameplay hints :
▷ You can sell potion by clicking the small "sell" sign after selecting a potion.
▷ Customers will ask for 1 of three potions, although no matter what you sell, you will earn as much money. Only the reputation you gain or loose at the end of the day will determine potion price for the next day.
▷ Selling the wrong type of potion or selling nothing will make you loose reputation at the end of the day.
▷ Adding a 3rd ingredient will always reset the cauldron and the heat.

Game tends to be unreponsive on Mac, and requires it to be opened and closed a few times until you can get the game working. 

Times when the game was unresponsive:

  • First time opening the game, window doesn't open
  • When the content warning page appears
  • After the cat finishes her first dialougue

Also the web version doesn't seem to work, it's stuck loading after reading the tutorial scroll.

Can you make it work on moble also?

"WARNING: This Page Has Been Quarantined" is what I when I press download the Version 0.16.2... What do I now?

I did download it at the end of the day and nothing has happen...

My window said it's might be a malware...

It's not a malware - my own windows defender doesn't get triggered and Virus total doesn't find anything either.

Concerning the problem with the game page, I opened a ticket with itch.io support. I hope it will get resolved soon.

EDIT : problem solved. Page got randomly flagged by some itch.io algorithm (false positive), but it's now back at normal. Nothing we could do but wait......

Definitely a minor inconvenience it might not be possible just based on whatever they decided to write the game in but I'd love this too

While having been curious about this game after seeing it, just tried playing after updating it from the initial install, but all that happens is me getting a notification saying that it's upated the icon for the game's .exe file.

Edit: Nevermind, found the problem, the game's Windows Icon Updater .exe file was intercepting the activation by being in the main game folder

my only complaint is that i can't have the cat keep working through the transformation, but oh well.

man the ending is funny. guess that's what happens when you make potions without a proper education.

Gotta say, I really enjoyed the puzzle aspect of the game, once I figured out what I was doing. All of the characters were really awesome to see, and I simply adore the witch cat, she's insanely cute! The art style was great, only constructive criticism I'll give is having the reputation mechanic being a bit more clear, since I didn't realize the impact of it until the start of the third day (got the good ending with 12 gold to spare lol)

I made days shorter in last patch (v0.16.1) so that you can see the impact of your choice more often. This should reduce the feeling of making blind decisions.

honestly feels miserable having no clue about anything, if the reputation changed as the day was going on it would be 10 times more enjoyable

Days are now shorter, so you should receive feedback about how good you did more often. I hope this will reduce the feeling of sometimes making blind choices.

You have NO idea how exited i was when i saw a BUBBLEBLOAT upload, about a POTION game with a CAT as a protagonist. You just hit a combo there. Instant favorite

Edit: played it. The performance is not the best (long loading time, both browser and downloadable. It also turns my medium laptop into a brick for a minute). Had no issue figuring stuff out (just test it on a cat, someone already wrote the formula lower in the comments). The cat is cute though, in all forms <3. I expect the game to recieve updates from time to time, like with FTD, because you didnt just leave so much empty space on shelves for nothing, right? Right...?

I can't tell what's the future of this game yet, but at least there should be a small additional update soon.

It wouldn't be so much of an issue that you need to fail first to figure out what each combination does... If the combinations didn't CHANGE between each session, since you're practically guaranteed to set yourself up for failure. Also, the game just randomly froze after the first day ended and is now stuck on a black screen.

The player now has to confirm he is ready on the first day before receiving clients, so that gives plenty of time to experiment and learn the various recipes :)

I'mm'a be real, having to fail on purpose to try the potions out doesn't make much sense gameplay-wise and "lewd-wise", I made like ten potions and spent half the time trying to figure out how to give a potion to the cat to try to get to see a lewd scene as like three customers came and went while I wasn't looking. I was clicking the potions in the store tab, clicking her, trying to drag the potions, nothing.
I also don't know if I'm blind or whatever, but the only reason I knew I missed customers is because of the reputation dropping. If there's an audio cue, I would've missed it, I wasn't playing with sound on.
When I DID catch a customer in time, I just sold her a random potion because I had no idea what the heck she meant by "stamina potion" when the game hadn't mentioned anything about which potion's which, and they were all green, so I assume maybe they were all stamina potions?

Also the game adds a new icon to the notifications on Windows that doesn't close when I closed the game, which is a bit spooky.

pretty confusing gameplay, I wasnt sure at first what i was doing wrong.

for those also confused, i *think* you first have to test potions on yourself to figure out what the potion does. you test it on yourself by stirring until you fail the potion, and youll either get a bloated belly, a super bloated belly, or bloated breasts. you keep in mind whatever ingredients you used during the fail, and i *think* you can use these details to figure out which ingredients make which potion. and the customers seem to obtusely ask for a Strength, Healing, or Stamina potion in their textboxes

edit: ok i beat it and i won working under this logic. other tips tho: the correlating effects are always the same (Ex: big bloat = stamina, reg bloat = healing, and breast bloat = strength). the combination of ingredients may result in different effects between runs, as the game does explain (Ex: mushroom + feather = stamina in one run, but it may = health in another). once you test two potion combos, you never have to test potions again in the run because you know the results of two combos and you can process of elimination the third combo. also potion combo results are consistent between ingame days.

Game just got updated with many quality of life changes (version 0.16.1). I hope this will help with most of the mentionned issues. You can check the devlog for more details. (also, stamina has been replaced by speed potion).

very great changes! good job with the work, and i wish you luck in developing the game further.

I'll try to look into reported issues over this weekend (for game balance, browser support, UI readability, etc)

not to mention everything is obtuse, really needs a manuel or tutorial level. i cant even bottle potions. i understand they wanted the time limit to be the main stress factor but to top it off with no explination so your fumbling takes the fun away from it. which is a shame these kinda games are fun.

I just updated the game ! More time is given at the start to experiment as much as you want :D

Cute idea, but I think the game could use some better conveyance. Took a while to figure out how to actually sell, which was frustrating. Also, it is very unclear what the top potion on the list actually does, just by looking at the image. The art and animations are very nice though. I especially like that adorable Kobold.

I just updated the game with many quality of life features (v0.16.1). I really hope this will help.

It seems if you stop at the selling screen while finishing the day under certain circumstances, the game might freeze. I still hear the sound of the cauldron gurgling, but the screen is black and the screen showing the stats of the finished day won't come up. Encountered the bug on browser version in fullscreen mode.

Edit: I was hovering my cursor over a potion when it happened. It never occured on my second playthrough after reloading the page, it seems, and I managed to actually get the winning ending this time. I like your games, and this one has not become an exception. Amazing work, both you and the artist/animator! ^^

I simply can’t play the game. Whenever I click the start button, it stays on a black screen. Is there anything I can do?

I too had the problems, i waited for like 20 minutes till a mensage spawned on my old laptop "insuficient memory to run the program" you might had the same error maybe. :c

I wanted play the game XD i will wait till be compatible with phones i guess ;3

If you are stuck on a loading screen, refreshing the page should fix it. If not, try downloading a desktop version.

Cute game, the hint towards the potions effects being locked behind a key was a little confusing for a sec but after that it was fun :
